The Naomi Group was founded in 2016 by Cenise Ellison a retired Army Veteran and small business owner from South Carolina. It is a faith based; non-profit organization that serves as an outreach entity for the community. Our goal is that every man, woman, and child be exposed to the word of Christ and understand that through this word they have the ability to embrace their earthly blessings. Lastly we would like to empower our communities by providing the necessary tools to becoming successful.
The Naomi group is committed to creating neighborhoods that are harmonious, free of drugs, violence, and social unrest. We take a strong stand against any behavior that is not conducive to productivity, peace and growth. Our organization believes that unconditional love, laughter, and unity are the only way to achieve permanent change. Our philosophy is that children are our greatest asset; therefore we make every effort to provide them with resources that will encourage them to study and seek higher education.
In December we will have our annual Christmas Extravaganza which is geared towards providing additional school supplies, books, toys, food, and entertainment to children in low income neighborhoods. Realizing that knowledge is power, we take every opportunity to provide the community with information on finances, education, health, and spiritual growth. In 2018 we will begin monthly workshops that will educate citizens on how to become homeowners, entrepreneurs, college graduates, and other empowerment programs.
In the book of Ruth, Naomi’s role was to provide Ruth with the tools necessary to seize her destiny. The primary purpose of The Naomi Group is to encourage, guide, and mentor others to chase their God given purpose. By the year 2020 we plan to establish a work center that will provide women who desire to be business owners with resources to start their dream.
We take pride in our ability to create and implement programs for our community. Our only desire is to serve others and walk in the calling that God has given us. The charities motto is “Where he goes, we go”. We are excited about what God is doing in the world and we feel privileged that he would choose this organization to assist him with the process.
